Il
Bordello downstairs bar has a capacity of 100 and a covered deck
area which allows for a further 30 guests.
If
you would just like to bring a small party of up
to 20 people to Il Bordello you may consider becoming a Lifetime
Member (£100 + VAT) instead of private hiring. Members can
bring in up to 20 guests as often as they like free of charge via
pre-arranged booking on non-event nights saving you money on the
hire fee.
Day-rate:
Full
day-rate (8 hours) £250 + VAT
Half
day-rate (4 hours) £150 + VAT
(further
hours will be charged at a rate of £25 + VAT per hour).
Sunday and Monday evening rate:
8-12pm £150 refundable
deposit (if the bar take reaches £600 and no damages are incurred).
The necessity to employ a bouncer is at the discretion of Il Bordello
and will incur a £50 fee.
Tuesday
- Thursday evening rate:
8-2am
£150 + VAT + £100 refundable deposit (if bar take reaches
£600)
Each additional hour £25 + VAT to be
arranged and paid for in advance.
Friday
and Saturday
evening rate non-exclusive (other Members / guests allowed
entry on a first come / first served basis):
0-20 people is free to Members
or £100 + VAT to non-Members
21-39 people £100 + VAT (+ membership
fee if non-Member)
40-59 people £200
+ VAT (+ membership fee if non-Member)
60-80 people £300
+ VAT (+ membership fee if non-Member).
Friday
and Saturday
evening rate exclusive (no other
Members / guests allowed entry):
80-100 people £400
+ VAT (+ membership fee if non-Member)
Downstairs bar only £400
+ VAT
Downstairs bar and deck £750
+ VAT.
Please
note: If you go over your agreed entitlement, any additional guests
will be charged £3 each on the door.
Il
Bordello will be flexible on these figures if the booking is for
charity or fund-raising, or if the final bar spend reaches certain
targets. These are individually negotiable and must be contracted
and signed for in advance of the evening.

Wedding
Parties:
Il
Bordello can arrange live music or DJ's at your request, and is
happy for you to decorate the interior (within the constraints
of health and safety guidelines).
Il
Bordello now has a deck canopy for the summer, bringing the capacity
up to 130, with additional day-time seating for on the quayside.
For special one-off occasions, a bedouin tent can be erected on
the quayside, though this outdoor space has a time limit of 11.00pm.
Due
to regular requests, Il Bordello is currently looking in to obtaining
a licence to carry out full wedding ceremonies on board.
Children's
Parties:
Although not
strictly to Il Bordello's personal musical tastes (!), we host
children's parties. Il Bordello deck railings meet with Health
and Safety Regulations for children being outdoors in the summer,
and Il Bordello has a children's licence until 9.00pm.
Large
Scale PR Events:
During
summer 2003, Il Bordello hosted the VIP hospitality for the Massive
Attack gig in Queen's Square. With three Bedouin tents on the
quayside, more than 700 guests passed through the entrance of
Il Bordello during the day and evening.
Il Bordello can supply quay-side bedouin tents, heating, lighting
and decorative planting for groups where a larger capacity is
required. All extras must be paid for in full in advance of the
event.

Terms
and conditions of hire:
- We
do not accept BYO drinks.
- Il
Bordello reserves the right to insist on a pre-hire meeting and
walk through to ensure that hirers understand the necessary compliance
with public entertainment and liquour licenses, and health and
safety requirements re floor space and capacity .
- 10%
administration / set-up fees will be charged on all bills.
- We
do allow smoking but not around the bar area and customers are
asked to be considerate of other guests.
- Il
Bordello would request that hirers and members do not invite anyone
on-board whom they would not wish to leave un-attended in their
own home.
- All
use of own equipment from fairy lights to record decks has to
be agreed with Il Bordello beforehand and electrical items
must be PAT tested.
- All
decorations such as balloons and birthday messages which hirers
wish to put up for their function, have to receive prior consent
from Il Bordello staff and also have to fall within the boundaries
of Health and Safety requirements.
- Unfortunately
as Il Bordello is a licensed premises, we do not allow you to
bring your own food or drink aboard, apart from a birthday or
wedding cake.
- Il
Bordello hires out the premises on the understanding that it is
the responsibility of the hirer to ensure the good behaviour of
their guests. If a guest is behaving in a manner that is offensive
to other guests or staff, they will be asked to leave, regardless
of whether or not a hire fee has been paid.
- Unfortunately
there will be an automatic £25 cleaning charge if hirers
use confetti, glitter stars or party poppers as we do not allow
them because they are difficult to clean up from between the floor-boards,
and usually stain the surfaces of the tables. If your guests use
these, the cleaning fee will be taken from your c/c details or
the blank cheque, which is left with Il Bordello for such purposes.
- If
you wish to pre-pay a reduced rate drinks tab for your guests,
this can be negotiated, but must be paid for in full, prior to
the evening. Eg. £10 per bottle of wine, on a case of 12,
£2.00 per bottle of lager, on a case of 24. These will be
done on a contract and exclude VAT.
